Circa, which is controlled by downtown gaming developer Derek Stevens, said Wednesday it reached an agreement with the privately held Tuscany to rebrand the property’s current sportsbook into an all-new location by next March.

Circa Sports, which launched in 2019, currently has sports betting facilities inside Stevens’ Golden Gate and D Las Vegas on Fremont Street and offers a mobile sports wagering app in Nevada. Las Vegas-based Circa Sports will launch its first satellite retail sportsbook outside of downtown Las Vegas next year at the off-Strip Tuscany Suites & Casino.

Circa Sports, which launched in 2019, currently has sports betting facilities inside Stevens’ Golden Gate and D Las Vegas on Fremont Street and offers a mobile sports wagering app in Nevada.

“This will open a lot of doors in the market to provide wider sports betting opportunities for customers,” Stevens said of the deal with the Tuscany. The casino is located just east of the Las Vegas Strip on Flamingo Road.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Tuscany CEO Brett Heers said the addition of a Circa-branded sportsbook would boost the casino’s presence.

“We are excited about this relationship,” Heers said. “With the level of product that Circa provides partnered with our ease of access location, we believe we can be a top sportsbook destination.”

Circa Sports’ Sportsbook Director Matt Metcalf said adding a location in Las Vegas outside of the company’s downtown casinos was viewed as “a key moment” for the sports wagering operator as it looks to grow its brand in Las Vegas.

The is currently is hosting two pro football betting contests in Nevada, both of which promise their own million-dollar payouts. Circa Sports launched its first location outside Nevada this summer in Colorado with a mobile waging app offered through the Century Casino in Cripple Creek.

Two years ago, Stevens visited the Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas to look at sports betting products. He said at the time that the goal was to take his own sports betting platform into different markets. Currently, 18 states have legal sports betting, with four states looking to launch this year.

Stevens’ ultimate goal for Circa Sports is to be a multi-state leader for sports futures and higher sports betting app limits. He said the app currently boasts one of the most competitive wagering menus in Las Vegas.
